  • With a new State Of The Union scheduled for tomorrow night, President Obama has scheduled a Google+ Hangout chat with several other Google+ users to talk about the contents of the speech, and what lies ahead.

  • The current Republican field may possibly have another debate scheduled before Super Tuesday; THE NATION MAGAZINE writer John Nichols has a list six questions that would help revitalize the debates in a realistic way that would help them the debates look mundane. Of course to the Chicago-Sun Times, that probably won't matter.

  • Just after losing the South Carolina primaries to new republican family values front runner, Newt Gingrich (yes, THAT Newt Gingrich), Mexican-American presidential candidate Willard M. Romney, INC. is now calling on Mr. Gingrich to return the money he made from Freddie Mac and publicly claim his history as a lobbyist; ANGRY BLACK LADY CHRONICLES is currently inviting its readers to a book chat to help set the record straight on Saul Alinsky.

  • Thanks to Governor Chris Christie, New Jersey may see its first openly gay Supreme Court justice, which in retrospect, may or may not bode well with Right-leaning critics questioning Romney's conservatism...so we'll see.

  • The nation's five largest banks responsible for the mortgage meltdown now have a settlement in the works with the Attorney General's office, including Bank Of America, whose CEO is busy implementing a periodic restructuring plan to cut back on annual costs.

  • Milt Shook's blog PLEASE CUT THE CRAP has an excellent piece that cites statistical facts and data, illustrating decades of Republican greed, hypocrisy and incompetence that eviscerates any argument depicting how both the Republican and Democratic parties are "one and the same".

  • New reports from POLITICUS USA and THE YOUNG TURKS reveal the strong ties between Republicans, including House Speaker John Boehner, and the Oil and Gas industry.

  • WaPo opinion writer Krissah Thompson has a new article citing several personal interviews with black females and polling reports that highlight the continually evolving role of black women in America, in spite of how they are depicted in the media.

  • This asshole is still talking...

  • Poet, author and THE GUARDIAN contributor Chika Unigue shares her personal views regarding the latest reports and updates on the rising death toll from the attacks in Kano, Nigeria, explaining where the real focus of these reports should be placed, instead of the religious and social issues being put on display.

  • And finally, political satirist, author, blogger and cat whisperer Erin Nanasi cites her latest piece on embattled, late football coach Joe Paterno, in discussing how her own personal experiences of triumph over tribulation and tragedy have made her stronger through the power of humor.

Happy Monday morning and evening everyone!
