Erm, if you want to feel safe, it may be best to stay away from thuggish cops, never mind rapists. Just ask Jennifer Fox. Not that there is a safe place anywhere, anyway, for humans, but an Occupy camp is the last place to go to feel "safe."

However, I do understand that women may feel that Occupy camps are *even more dangerous*, but still, there are no safe revolutions. Not to mention, of course, it's not like you have to go to an Occupation to get raped. There are lots of guys who are quite willing to rape you anywhere.

Glenn Greenwald thinks it's just ever-so-special that Katehi wants to "move on." That's odd, when did she turn into George Soros? Also, Obama getting praise from Cheney gives Glenn creepy goosebumps, and Jonathan Chait thinks liberals are SO unreasonable. Furthermore, "LFNB" is my new favourite abbreviation.

A lively debate on the question of whether pepper-spraying seated protestors constitutes "torture," on LGM.

From FireDogLake, and from Pope Snarky, to all the Occupiers, a big ol' "Thanks."
