I hate to get all hyperbole and screamy on your ass, but there is a war being conducted against us by the corporations of this country and the elected officials who are in their pockets.  COMPANIES ARE NOT PEOPLE, AND THEY SHOULD HAVE NO CIVIL RIGHTS, PERIOD.  NOT CONTRIBUTING TO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS, NOT SENDING ADVISORS TO WRITE LAWS, NOT SUING PEOPLE WHO PUBLICLY BITCH ABOUT THEIR SHODDY PRODUCTS, NOT THROWING PEOPLE INTO POVERTY SO THEY CAN MOVE JOBS TO THE THIRD WORLD FOR PROFIT.  ZERO rights.  This is supposed to be the United States of America, the world's greatest democratic republic, and we have less power and control in our lives today than does the average Russian.

I want MY country back.  The land of the free and the home of the brave, not the land of the apathetic and the home of anaesthesia-via-shiny-things.

Yes, I said a war.  We are under attack by the oligarchs who think they and their stolen money have a right to force us all into servitude.  The last Republican in this country who was worth more than a fart in a windstorm was Eisenhower, and frankly while I still maintain some hope that our current president will reverse his frightening embrace of draconian suppressive tactics with regard to things like wiretapping and due process, I am by and large disappointed in President Obama's approach to civil rights and freedom in this country, from his positions on Guantanamo to his refusal to risk public disapproval by coming out in favor of cannabis legalization, as well as the stacking of his cabinet with corporate and industrial bigwigs who will (and do) consistently advise against the interests of the people and for the interests of the corporations. 

The fox is guarding the henhouse and Colonel Sanders is in charge of making sure the chickens are healthy.  And we, the chickens, are healthy...right up until the point we're sacrificed so some enormous self-important asshole with more money in his driveway than most of us will see in our entire lives can have some nice, fat, healthy chicken dinner.

We are confused, uninformed, disengaged, and largely without any interest in changing any of those things.  We sit here in a pile of our own shit, and when someone comes along and offers to pull us out, we say "no way, man...it's really warm and comfy once you get past the smell.”

It’s time to stop getting past the smell, because something reeks of shit in this country, and if you aren’t damned tired of it, you’re part of the problem.  Not only that, but if you think what reeks is “anchor babies” and “welfare queens” and “socialism,” you aren’t just part of the problem, you’re a blithering goddamned idiot.  If you think Ron Paul’s deregulation scheme to put more power in the hands of corporations and less in the hands of the people by dangling the “let’s get high”carrot in front of a bunch of stupid college kids constitutes some kind of populist reform, you’re an even bigger idiot.

Does that piss you off, sunshine?  GOOD, because you’ve been pissing me off all my life and I’m fed the fuck up with trying to play nice with you.  So now this is me, grabbing you by the back of your empty head, pushing you face-first into a mirror, and telling you without qualification:  The problem isn’t what I’m saying, the problem is that what I am saying is 100% accurate and you’re too fucking smug and self-righteous to realize that the problem is YOU.  YOU who place profit over human dignity.  YOU who think that the rights enumerated in the US constitution only apply to US citizens.  YOU who think the US is supposed to be a “Christian Nation.” YOU who think it’s somehow less inhumane to force a teenage girl to have an unwanted child and thereby perpetuate the cycle of multi-generational failure and poverty that so many of our people are trapped in.  YOU who think it’s somehow cool to watch human beings turned into daiquiris by our military might, so long as those people are brown. 

YOU are what is destroying this country.  Not socialism, not the evil muslim non-citzen president, and certainly not me simply because I hurt your fucking feelings.  Fuck you and fuck your feelings.

I want MY country back, and I’m not going to stop until the stupid is drained out of my home or one of you dumb fucks finally takes your .38-caliber substitute dick(*) and shuts me up with it.

Some of you will think this means I”m somehow renouncing my previous statements about choosing love and thinking first.  You would be wrong.  I firmly believe in and desire peace and enlightenment for all people.

Problem is, the only way to do that is get rid of the dumb, arrogant motherfuckers who don’t want peace or enlightenment.  Here’s hoping that can be accomplished through the unrelenting exposure of truth and the education of the masses, rather than through violence and war.

(* This is not an insult toward gun owners.  This is an insult toward gun owners who think their guns make them any bigger, badder, better, or less likely to have my foot in their ass than if they didn’t own a gun.  You know, the kind of ridge-browed, knuckle-dragging piece of shit that shows up at a presidential speech with an automatic rifle because “I GOT A RIGHT!!!”  Fucking morons.  Kill me if you want:  my truth will survive far beyond this ride, and the worst possible result of my assassination would be a much larger audience for my work.)
