Heya folks :)

It has been my intent for the last couple of days to go shoot new tape and make new vid and all that good stuff. 

Unfortunately I keep getting distracted by various nouns (that’s people, places, and things), hosed by the weather, etc.  This, naturally, just as a couple of friends hit me with a flood of friend invites/recommendations on FB and my “audience” there has grown by about 25% overnight.

And I got nothin’. 

Actually, I DO have a few things, but I’m gonna hold on to them.  It’s become very late, I’ve become very tired, and so it’s gonna wait and that’s just how it is.

But.

But I want to say hi to people, and let them know I see them and I appreciate them seeing me.  I want people to know they can count on me to get off my dead ass and post something of SOME merit here, even if I’m really abusing the meaning of the word “merit” in that clause.

Also, as I seem to be engaged in an ongoing evolution of what I’m doing and who I am, I wanted to let folks know:  If you want me to share a link to your website here, or add a you to my blogroll, or whatever, that’s fine…but a) I gotta know who you are, b) I gotta know you want me to add you/link you, c) I gotta know what you want me to do, and d) quid pro mf’n quo folks, if you want me to link or blogroll you then yes, it’s common courtesy to reciprocate.

I add that last part because I tend to forget about that in the rush of things, so if I give all of you shit about it, I’ve trapped myself into paying more attention so people don’t think I’m a hypocritical jerk.

So yeah. I’m going to add a few things on my own here in the next day or so – probably in the next 24-36 hours, events willing.  One of those things is a bit more blatant exhortation to the donation request at the top of the site – I really, seriously, and honestly NEED the help of everyone who visits this site, to whatever extent they’re able, to keep going.  If that’s a buck, great.  If that’s a thousand bucks, great.  if that’s $5 per month, or $1 every time you visit, or OVER $9000 every time you visit, that’s up to you, but I need EVERY dime of income I can generate from what I’m doing here, so if you’ve got a few dimes you can spare, please commence to sparing with my heartfelt thanks.

Of course that’s gauche to talk about, so moving on:  I’m also going to be adding a couple of friends’ blogs to the blogroll (as well as adding a blogroll to the page design!) and the links page.  IF YOU WANT ME TO LINK TO YOU, please keep a) through d) above in mind, and add e) – I won’t link to an ad farm or a content sink no matter HOW nicely you ask, because to whatever extent it may be properly said that I have an “audience,” my audience trusts me not to jack them around, steer them wrong, or send them to a crap site.  If you’re on the blogroll or your site is linked here, it’s because I’ve personally looked it over.  I might disagree with your content, but that won’t stop me from linking to it.  If I think it’s just a pile of empty or recycled pseudo-content serving as sheep’s clothing for a wolfpack of popups, malware, or on-page ads, I’m not going to send my audience there.  Period.

Also hope to get a chance to do some more fiddling and changing with the layout – it’s getting where I want it, but it ain’t there yet.

Other than that, sorry I haven’t had any real new content in a day or so.  I’m gonna get to rectifying that ASAP, and in the mean time I appreciate every bit of feedback and suggestion I get just as much as I appreciate financial contributions.  I just can’t pay my hosting and domain registration (let alone keep myself in ramen noodles and blank videotape – or a modern camera that doesn’t rely on magnetic tape!) with feedback, so I have to shill occasionally.
