So as I’m working on this new look for the site, I’ve also been doing a lot of thinking.  Well, I’m always doing a lot of thinking, which sounds arrogant unless you do it in which case you know that it’s often more curse than blessing. I digress; what I’m thinking about is how to get you kind folks who read this site, watch my videos, or listen to the music I help create to start spreading the word a bit.

The problem, as always, is that I just don’t have what you’d call an ‘advertising budget.’  A secondary problem is that I have no earthly idea what the hell I’m doing.  I don’t know if I’m a comedian or a philosopher or just some stupid longhair running his mouth.  For most of my life it’s been a point of pride to not be easily pigeonholed; unfortunately when you’re working with the internet, there’s gotta be labels and categories.

I’m working on adding a few different social tools to the site, including a more elegant solution to publishing my blog posts to Facebook that will actually draw people here, to this site, rather than them just reading a paragraph on FB and then forgetting about it. 

Over the years I’ve made friends, and fans, by spending time in various online communities and so forth, and that’s cool…but it’s time-consuming, and I don’t have a ton of time to work with these days.

Many of you have been very complimentary in your feedback over the years, including in reference to the contents of this site and my videos.  I still don’t know what the hell I’m doing, I just run my mouth for a while, throw a couple of effects on it, and publish, but people seem to like it. 

So what I’m asking is for you to spread the word.  Seriously.  I can’t get people paying attention to my material by myself, it just comes off like another egotistical douchebag trying to get over for no reason, and I’m not real interested in being the next idiot to be famous for being famous.

I’m going to do everything humanly possible to make it ridiculously easy to share my stuff with people via Facebook and the rest of the ‘net.  That “Share/Save” button on the top right of every page is specific to the page itself; you won’t be recommending or sharing the entire site just because you share one article. 

I don’t expect or ask that people agree with me all the time.  I’d love some spirited and intelligent debate here.  But in order to have that, I need people to know I’m here.
