Just ducking in during a lull to finish some quick work here on the site. I really dig this new layout and am having a lot of fun playing with it. Please let me know if your browser has problems with it (and the geeks among you are not invited to submit bug reports for flippin Konqueror or some obsolete alpha-test version of IE 4 from 1996!)
Things are going. Not great, not horrible. Not getting as much done as I’d like, on any front, but I keep plugging away at it. I guess I’ll have to learn to like the taste of energy drinks and hope I have medical insurance by the time they start eating holes in my stomach.
I’ve touched base with several people about a couple of projects that I’m keeping mostly to myself, sorta? Anyway, yeah. I’m basically in the process of getting commitments from the people I want to be involved, and then I’ll start getting in touch with people collectively when appropriate.
Current status: Eating, housed, and working on getting my vehicle insured and plated. Phone bill about due. Web hosting, too.
I really hate it when I’m about to offer someone a break on their ride or even a free lift because I feel sorry for them…and they either start trying to talk me into giving them a break or a free ride listing all the reasons they deserve it and generally doing a bad job of attempting to manipulate me for sympathy, or they think I’m trying to sell them a ride and immediately block me out. It bums me that people are so suspicious that they’d rather freeze than consider the possibility that maybe someone just wants to hook them up because they need hooking up.
Oh well, I guess I can’t save the world.
A friend posted this to Facebook. I shared it there, but I wanted to share it here too, because it’s very cool, and TED is the shiznit.

Take care, kids.
