So let’s see…I’ve posted a few photos to the blog already. I’ve also turned on Selective Twitter Status for FB. Changed the front page of the site back to the “Home” page, although I changed the verbiage on it quite a bit and added a new graphic. I’m going to try to get at least a few more pages of photos posted…it’s only been almost six months since I left NC, it’s about time. Maybe I’ll get the ones of me and my daughter Amber and granddaughter Haleigh up before Haleigh graduates high school.
In between doing things with the site and pictures, I’m polishing my resume and cleaning up my accounts at places like Monster, looking for some steady work.
I’m not sure how I want to deal with LowGenius.Com yet. I don’t want to just abandon my customers, but if I don’t get more work soon from this, there’s no sense in continuing to do it. On the other hand I’m considering continuing to sell web design, but farm out the production work to someone else. This would actually fit me nicely, since follow-through tends to be my weak spot. I’m going to get it worked out over the next couple of days though. Along with several other things – this is the longest stretch I’ve had off since I started working again, I need to make it count.
Which includes clearing my task backlog as best I can.
The other side of this coin is that one client is talking about a redesign/upgrade again…still waiting to hear back on that, but if they went through with it it could swing my decision-making processes.
I’m also poking around looking for ways to improve the blog. I definitely want to get away from the bubble/glass framing thing. Something simpler with square corners and cleaner lines. But we’ll see how things go. Meantime, I look forward to hearing from everyone who’s reading.
Oh, I also set the comments to a 30-day time limit, as I’ve had some problems with spammers bombing old posts. Nobody sees the comments because they’re moderated, but it’s still a pain in my butt.
All right, I really just stopped to make this post so I could test the Selective Tweet app for Facebook anwyay, so it’s back to work on more photos.
