It’s long bothered me the way the Disney company pimps out kids and teenagers, pushing them to become these mega-super-star flash-in-the-pan idols and then leaving them to rot when they grow up and/or start thinking for themselves. They make it all look so fun and wonderful…until one of them gets knocked up at 16 or overdoses or kills themselves, at which point Disney quietly makes itself conspicuous by its absence (one notable exception: Jamie Lynn Spears…who still had a year left on her contract). So…here’s a few words on the matter.
