Thinkin me thinks

So so much sorting and figuring to do.  I'm kinda cheesed off...I had a 25-pack of DLDVRs around here that I wanted to back stuff up to so I could clear my now rather overstuffed hard drive with, annnnd of course now I can't FIND the damn things.  They've only been sitting in the same place for two years waiting for me to use them...and now that I actually need the things, poof gone...

And of course, I got cheesed and went and looked one more time and there they were.  So hopefully THAT process is started now.  So much accumulated crap.  Well, let's face it not all of it is crap, or I wouldn't have accumulated it.  Bunch of music (of course), tons of photos and wow screenshots and other videos, some of them I'm going to end up putting on LowGenius.Com just because they're pretty good and I'm proud of them, like the theatrical-style trailers I did for Road Less Traveled Theatre. I'd swear I saw some Gypsy Blue video in there, too...be nice if there was some o' that.  Easily one of the best bands I was in...and measured strictly in where the energy was, probably THE best.  Bunch of other graphics and stuff, as well...couple thousand fonts, all kinds of good stuff.  Bunch of plugin and installation programs for various things.  Thinkin seriously about pulling my WOW installation off the box, since it'll be quite some time before I get back to that, if ever.

Seems like I wrote a review here already of Special Bulletin , the 1983 TV movie that I dig so much, but now I can't seem to find it.  As usual.  This would be why I'm trying to get organized, y'see.

Morrowind FPS Optimizer links are still broken.  I'll get on that when I finish this entry.

I smell redesigns coming on, here and LowGenius.Com both.  I wish there was a decent blog engine for DotNetNuke that didn't cost an arm and a leg (or anything at all, I don't have funds to put into that right now).  If BlogEngine could be integrated into that, it'd be AWESOME.  Maybe I'll play with it a bit and see what I can come up with...another bit of 'to-do' on an already ridiculously backlogged life.  But, things are slowly getting assembled.

I'm still going back and forth on whether to move to California.  My wonderful friend Tessa and her husband made the offer a long while back, and it's sounding better every day.  On the other hand, I haven't heard from Sammy at all since that phone call last week, and Kalamazoo calls to me bigtime.  I just don't know what I'm gonna do, I really don't.  Meantime, what I will do is keep plugging away at what I'm doing aand hope for the best. Pretty bummed about Sammy...really thought she was interested, but that's life.  Things will go as things go, and I will roll with the punches and keep on keepin' on and all those other silly-assed cliches.

At least I have MUSIC again.  Woot.  Now Playing:  Neil Young's cover of Imagine from America - A Tribute to Heroes, which is a nice bit of music, although some of the tracks don't do much for me (Fred Durst covering Pink Floyd...ugh), I guess you can't have everything.  Certainly Ungle Neil's work here - on this track and playing the Hammond organ behind Eddie Vedder and someone elsee (Jeff Ament, if I remember right, but I probably don't) doing a gorgeous acoustic version of Long Road - is above criticism.

Well, I guess that'll be that for now.  Work to do, work to do.  Take care.

Edited to add more crap, an hour later:  Why in the world do I try to use Windows' horrible drag-and-drop burning interface  Worse than useless.  Got the FPS Optimizer downloads fixed, getting the other mod downloads fixed. The MP3 downloads are probably broken too, I'll check those in a minute.  Blah.

Anyone know of a good UI skinning package for Windows Vista?  I loved Windowblinds, but not the price, and it's been notoriously buggy on 64-bit Windows systems anwyay.  Unfortunately, as far as I know they're about the only game in town.  That Vista Aero interface is neat and all, but after a couple years of using it I'm quite ready to look at something new thanks...and swappng back to the old-style Windows UI doesn't cut it either.
