I got this sent to me in e-mail this morning. The sender is not someone who sends every silly e-mail she gets to her whole address book, but this struck her as a neat idea, affordable for most people, with a tangible result and just enough snark factor to make it well worth the five bucks.

I don't want to get into an abortion debate (not here and now at least; I'll post my own thoughts on that topic at some later point), but I really like this idea, so I thought I'd pass it along.

If you think Sarah Palin's positions on women's issues are, um, misguided, here's a brilliant course of action.

Make a $5 minimum donation to Planned Parenthood in Sarah Palin's name. A Planned Parenthood donation is tax deductible, while a political donation isn't.

And here's the good part: when you make a donation to PP in her name, they'll send her a card telling her that the donation has been made in her honor.
