Gettin Things Done

Couple of major accomplishments for me today - got an ASP Classic upload process working properly on my client site, which was one of the last big hurdles I needed to get past; and I got my hosts to change the 'first default' page on my websites so that even if I *do* get hacked again, nobody will ever see it.  Woot.

I would wholeheartedly advise anyone who thinks that going in to business for themselves is a way to work less and slack off to avoid going in to business for themselves.  It ain't.  I'm as broke as broke can get, and nothing in front of me but lots of 40-hour days to get me out of it.  It'll be worthwhile, when it starts rolling more smoothly and consistently...but easy, it ain't.

I find it profoundly disturbing that more and more people I talk to these days take it for granted that if there's a law against something, that automatically means that the law is right and whatever is being prohibited is wrong.  This is so utterly counter to the fundamentals of freedom that frankly, I can't even find the energy to dissect it right now.  Question Authority.  ALWAYS.  Never take it on faith.  That way lies madness.

I've got a million other things to write about, but honestly I'm kinda holding off on a lot of it until I get proper categorization and space created for various topics here...and right now, it's all the time I can spare just to throw out these little updates/rambles every couple of days.

Free Leonard Peletier when you buy one Leonard Peletier of equal or greater value now through the end of the month.

Jesus Saves, Moses invests, and Jordan scores on the rebound.

Somewhere in an alternate universe, the list of presidents in reverse order reads something like Hicks, Kinison, Pryor, Carlin, Lennon, King, Kennedy, Heinlein, Orwell...would be a nice country to live in.  Lots of personal responsibility, very little government interference in personal lives, and a whole lot of people taking themselves far less seriously.

Including me.

I think my comment forms are fixed, but I need a chance to test them before I set them live.  I may wait until I get some other bells and whistles in place before I open them back up though.

That's all for now, I'll be back later.
