There appears to be a lot of confusion - much of it propagated by those with a vested interest in keeping people confused - about exactly why it matters that content creators be properly credited for their work, why downloading and reposting a funny graphic is a dick move but properly sharing (either by using the "share" button or by including an @ link back to the source if you're on a phone or something and have no share button) isn't, and why it blows that there are some people out there making a lot of money on other people's backs and you are helping them do it.
