A photo of a beaten woman is stolen and attached to a fake story to drum up page traffic and rally people to a cause that has nothing to do with the woman whose story and photo is being used to do so. What started, for my part, as a reasonable conversation with a US Congressman becomes a flamewar in which he lies, makes snide remarks, lies some more, and then tries to shut me up for asking whether campaign contributions influence his position on climate change.
