Man I'm beat.  12 hour shifts suck....swapping shifts on 12-hour shifts REALLY sucks.  Oh well.  Hopefully next week (or maybe the week after) I'll be back on nights and then somewhat normal again.  Well, normal for me anyway. EaAgerly looking forward to having my camcorder in operating order again.  Not sure if or how I'll integrate using that into the cab job, but it could be interesting.  Underground 'taxicab confessions' and all that.  Although I haven't had any large groups of naked people or anything yet, so who knowsw if ... And so here I sit, waiting for business. Blah. Unfortunately right now, nobody is making a ton of money.  Obviously, as a followup, I decided that it would be in the best interests of both me, and my friend I was driving for, if I drive for someone else.  This was a very hard decision, and I'm afraid my friend is probably pissed at me for it...but what the hell can I do?  I've lost a bank account, my phones, and getting behind on my web hosting...and the people I pay for my stuff don't take "I'm trying to help my friend and not making much money"... Samara has been in touch.  Apparently while I was living in my car, she was fighting for her life due to some medical issues she’s been dealing with.  Between the time I decided to go to Cali and the time I go... So I’m in a bit of a bind, and I need some advice. I also need a good lawyer willing to work on contingency :P When I got back to MI, I started driving a cab again.  That’s what I was doing when I left, it’s a fairly easy job, and hey when unemployment is closing in on 16%, you take what you can get. The first company I drove for lied to me about their insurance – their vehicles don’t have any insurance.  This is a problem given my accident a few weeks ago where I got rear-ended.  I’m still sore and stiff from it, having intermittent headaches.  This is what I need the l... Like so many Americans, and others around the globe, September 11th will for the rest of my life be the day the world changed. Each year now we have our memorials and tributes and remembrances.  We grab our flags and shed our tears for the fallen; we honor and praise our men and women of the armed forces, fighting and dying to keep us safe; we reflect on that horrible day in solemn contemplation of the world, our roles in it, and what we can do to make it better. All of this is honorable and good. Regrettably, much about 9-11, and much about our country eight ... [More]
